Folk Festival Lottery

LEIGH Folk Festival has announced a new way for supporters to contribute to the well-loved annual event, while enjoying the thrill of winning prizes.

Through a partnership with OneLottery, festival enthusiasts can purchase tickets, with each ticket costing £1, and 50% of the ticket sales going directly to the Leigh Folk Festival.

Every week, participants have the chance to win up to £25,000, along with other exciting prizes.

Half of every ticket sold will go directly to support Leigh Folk Festival, helping to keep the local arts alive and ensure that the festival continues to bring music, entertainment, and cultural experiences to the community.

This follows the cancelation of the annual event this year, after 32 years of its running in the heart of Leigh, with organisers saying that they were struggling to find new members to join, in addition to cost of living, and production costs.

Since 1992, the event has been a highlight of the Leigh and Southend calendar, which takes over the town, and with this OneLottery initiative, there’s an opportunity to support this community event.

A spokesperson said: “Your contribution helps us bring more music, arts, and culture to Leigh, and allows you to join a community of supporters who are passionate about keeping the arts alive and thriving.

“The festival’s existing 50/50 club members will soon have the opportunity to transfer to this new scheme.

“Your support with the  OneLottery would help us continue to bring fantastic music, entertainment, and cultural events to the community for years to come.”
