A MAN was rescued by emergency services after getting trapped between a van and a building in Rayleigh High Street.
Emergency services were called to Rayleigh High Street, near Santander, just after 9pm on October 31.
This was following reports of a man, who was unresponsive, being trapped following a vehicle crash.
Essex Fire confirmed a man was trapped after a van had collided with a person and a building.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to High Street, Rayleigh at 9:26pm to reports of a man trapped after a road traffic collision.
“On arrival, crews reported a van had collided with a person and a building, trapping a man. Firefighters worked with ambulance service colleagues to move the van and give first aid to the man.”
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 8.53pm yesterday with reports of a person who was unresponsive in High Street, Rayleigh.
“We sent three ambulances and took a man to Southend University Hospital for further care.”
