A YOUNG girl was hit by a car in Westcliff.
The incident saw multiple emergency services attend the scene on Fairfax Drive.
Ambulances and Police responded at around 3.30pm on November 11, after reports of a child pedestrian being hit by a car.
The girl was taken to Southend Hospital for further care and emergency services report no life-changing injuries.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “One ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were sent to Fairfax Drive, Westcliff following reports of a child injured in a road traffic collision.
“One girl was transported to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and care.”
Essex Police remained at the scene of the incident.
Southend Conservative Councillor, Kevin Buck, said: “I sincerely hope the young child is ok and our thoughts and prayers are with them and the family.
“I shall be looking into this to find out what exactly has occurred”.
