Leigh Wards By-election

A BY-ELECTION has been called for two wards in Leigh.

 Leigh residents are to take to the polls on March 6 to decide who will be the new Leigh Town Council, councillor for Elms ward and St Clements Ward.

In Elms ward, Sarah Louise Carr is standing as an Independent candidate, alongside Reform UK candidate James Christopher Rourke.

 For St Clements Ward, Tino Callaghan is standing as an Independent candidate, alongside Patricia Janet Leahy, who is also an Independent candidate.

 Residents will be able to vote at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Throne of Grace, 39 Elmsleigh Drive, in Leigh.

 Opening hours for the poll are 7 am to 10 pm.
