LEIGH Town Council are calling for resident to get involved in a new Community Mosaic Project, set to be installed in an area at the front of Leigh Library.

Leigh Town Council are working in collaboration with Friends of Leigh Library Gardens and The Mosaic Studio for the project, which they say represents an opportunity for residents to leave their mark on the town’s cultural landscape.

All of the community are invited to add a little of piece of the design in a series of community sessions on June 27 held at the Community Centre.

Each session will see members of the public come in to the space, where they will be shown areas of the mosaic and add pieces to the design. The overall design will also be shown. Sessions are for eight people maximum.

Whilst a lot of the bookable session are now full, there are two walk-in sessions available on from 3 to 3.30 pm and 3.30 to 4 pm.
