Leigh On Sea News: Register For Fundraiser – REGISTRATION is now open for this year’s Gold Geese Goslings, a children’s fundraising event.

REGISTRATION is now open for this year’s Gold Geese Goslings, a children’s fundraising event.

The event on July 20th invites children aged up to 16 to scoot, cycle or walk from Joscelyn’s Beach by Chalkwell Station in aid of the Leigh-based charity Gold Geese.

The event offers two distances depending on participants’ ages.

The younger children’s course covers one mile, while those over 11 years old will cover two miles.

Each child will receive a goody bag, Gold Geese t-shirt and medal.

The event will be fully accessible, and an adult must remain with their child throughout.

There is no entrance fee, but the charity asks families to fundraise as much as possible to cover costs and raise as much as possible for Gold Geese, who provide tailored support for families fighting childhood cancer in South East Essex.

Katie Southgate, Gold Geese founder and CEO, said: “I’m so excited for this year’s Goslings fundraiser and I’m not the only one as places are going fast!

“I’m really looking forward to seeing all the kids in yellow whizzing along the seafront, having a great time and showing their support for local families fighting childhood cancer.

“Gold Geese is there every step of the way for local families fighting childhood cancer. It causes a huge upheaval for everyone in the family – emotionally, physically and often financially, so fundraising events like this show our kind community’s solidarity with families as well as raise vital funds for our work.”
