WESTCLIFF’S Genting Casino is unveiling its new reception area, as part of a raft of restoration work.

The opening of the reception area begins the second phase of the Genting’s £9.8 million restoration of the popular seafront casino.

The refurbishment, which will also see the introduction of a brand-new Electronic Gaming Lounge with more slots and e-tables, as well as new carpets and an upgraded internal look and feel throughout the venue, is a 12-month long project.

Work began in January, and is being carried out in stages to minimise disruption with major upgrades such as roof replacement and interior refurbishments taking place whilst the casino remains open throughout.

Officially launching phase two on Tuesday July 22, a glittering relaunch event is planned for Friday August 22, featuring live entertainment, fizz, and canapés throughout the evening. Highlights include the grand final of the All-In Roulette competition – which kicks off on 5th August – and the highly anticipated draw for the £50,000 Slots Free Play Giveaway.

Guests can earn entries into the draw by visiting the casino and playing on slots or electronic tables throughout the month.

Stuart Green, General Manager of Genting Casino Westcliff, said: “We are grateful to all our loyal customers who have continued to enjoy Westcliff’s unique hospitality and entertainment during the building project, and we are delighted that it is proceeding on schedule.

“We look forward to welcoming guests for our special event in August as we move into the second phase of the project and it’s exciting to see our new-look venue beginning to take shape.”

A grand reopening is scheduled for Spring 2026, marking the full completion of the transformation.

Advance bookings are recommended for Christmas and New Year’s Eve events.
