APPLICATIONS are now officially open for the 2025 Southend RNLI Mulberry Fun Run, taking place on Sunday, 14 September at Thorpe Esplanade, Thorpe Bay.

With just 1,200 spaces available, the popular community event promises a unique opportunity to venture out towards the historic Mulberry Harbour in a safe and fun environment.

Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to take on the 3.5km route, with shorter options available for those who prefer a more relaxed pace.

The run is expected to begin around 10:20am (subject to tidal conditions), and all proceeds will go directly to supporting the Southend RNLI Station.

Early bird registration is now live: adults can enter for £12 and children for £7.

On-the-day prices rise to £25 for adults and £15 for children, so early sign-up is advised.

Expect to get wet and muddy – suitable footwear, sun protection, and old clothes are essential.

Water levels along the course may reach up to 15cm, so be ready to run, walk, or wade the route.
