Anglo-Saxon Weekend

SOUTHEND Museums are hosting an Anglo-Saxon weekend at Prittlewell Priory on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August.

Travel back in time and explore the living Anglo-Saxon re-enactment camp with combat displays, traditional textile, medicine, and cooking demonstrations. Try axe throwing to test your warrior skills.

Visit the falconry tent to learn how Anglo-Saxons used birds of prey for hunting.

Enjoy traditional storytelling in the tent of tales, participate in family-friendly games, and explore Saxon Southend in the archaeology tent.

Inside the Priory, follow an activity trail and visit the makers market featuring local artists.
