THE Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, showed his backing for Royal Navy Veterans, whilst visiting his local town fayre.
Mr Francois, whose father served in the Royal Navy during WWII, visited a number of stalls during at the recent Trinity Fayre – held along Rayleigh High Street and adjacent roads – including that of the Rayleigh Branch of the Royal Naval Association (RNA).
The Trinity Fayre, organised by Rayleigh Town Council, attracted thousands of visitors from across Rayleigh and further afield. As well as singers on a sound stage, the event featured numerous exhibitions and a variety is stalls, hosted by multiple community groups, from the Army and Air Cadets, to Essex Police, the Samaritans, the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill and the RNLI.
Speaking about his attendance at the popular event, Mr Francois said: “I would like to congratulate the organisers and all those local community groups who took part in this year’s Trinity Fayre – which was a great success.
“The event seemed popular with one and all. It was great to be part of it.”
