A BRAWL which broke out in a beer garden in a Rayleigh pub saw five people arrested and one person left with a “significant” head injury.
Police officers were called to the Travellers Joy pub, in Down Hall Road near Rayleigh Station at about 10.20pm on Saturday September 30th after reports of a fight in the garden area involving two men.
It was also reported that a further three people became involved in the fight.
Three people involved sustained head injuries, one of which has been described by police officers as “significant”.
Essex Police have arrested a total of five people on suspicion of a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm, and affray.
Officers investigating the incident have now launched an appeal for information.
A spokesperson said: “If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”
