RUNNERS of all abilities are invited to take part in the Belfairs 5 Fun Run this September.

The annual five-mile run offers participants the chance to enjoy an invigorating off-road course through the stunning Belfairs Woods, a landscape of ancient coppiced woodland rich with wildlife.

Along the way, runners may spot rare butterflies, listen to the calls of song thrushes, and take in the beauty of autumn wildflowers.

The event is open to runners aged 14 and over, with those aged 14–16 required to be accompanied by an adult.

Entry is £15 per person, with all profits going directly to support the vital conservation work of the Essex Wildlife Trust.

Participants can enter on the day or collect an entry form in advance from the Woodland Centre.

Taking place Sunday 21st September, the run will be setting off at 10:30am from the Belfairs Woodland Centre.
