STUDENTS from a Leigh School took part in this year’s marathon spirit by joining a charity fun run.
In the exciting lead-up to this year’s highly anticipated iconic London race, the spirited students of Belfairs Academy eagerly took to the track for a 2.6-mile course, not only showcasing their energy and enthusiasm, but making a difference in the community.
The students didn’t just run, they hopped, skipped, and even danced their way to the finish line whilst raising funds for local causes.
A dinosaur mascot added an extra layer of fun to the proceedings.
Janine Lilleker, Assistant Principal, said: “Hundreds of pounds was raised for the schools three local charities and it was a fun experience for all, even the dinosaur.”
