As the clock counts down to 2025, Southend famous seafront will be lit up for the first time with a dazzling firework display.

For this special occasion, Leigh’s very own Starfish Boat Charters invites you to a once-in-a-lifetime New Year’s Eve celebration aboard their cosy vessel. Why jostle with the crowds onshore when you can experience the magic from the calm of the sea?

Setting sail from Old Leigh Cockle Beach, the Starfish boat will take you out to Southend Pier, perfectly positioned to enjoy the spectacular midnight fireworks. As the display illuminates the night sky, you’ll have the best seat in the house.

The Starfish carries just 10 passengers, making it a uniquely private way to celebrate New Year’s Eve. With music, delicious food, and drinks on board, you’ll enjoy a festive yet intimate atmosphere far removed from the hustle of the crowded seafront.

If you are looking for something even bigger, Starfish has access to additional boats and can cater to larger groups or exclusive parties.

The boat departs from Old Leigh Cockle Beach at 10.30 PM, and returns at 12:30 AM.
