MEMBERS of Southend United engaged a class of Hadleigh school pupils with some sports activities.
Hadleigh Junior School, in Church Road, took part in the Blues football session as part of the Ferrero Joy of Movement Programme.
Students enjoyed a game of football, as well as a talk on the importance of fitness and healthy eating.
Rebeca Harris, MP for Castle Point, joined the school children to witness the session.
She said: “The coaches from the football club were excellent and it was great to see the students enjoying their coaching session in the sun.
“The session also included a talk in the classroom and from the conversations I had with the pupils they clearly enjoyed learning about the importance of fitness and healthy eating.
“Thank you to Southend Football Club and Ferrero and well done to all the pupils who took part.
“I definitely saw some future sports stars in the making!”
