Book Launch

MARK Chatterton, an author from Leigh will be launching his new book, “Human Being” on Friday  April 5 at the Balmoral Centre, Salisbury Road, Westcliff at 7.30pm.

He will also be giving a talk on what it means to be a human being in the 21st Century, looking back to where we have come from, where we are now and where we going to.

The book Human Being is a mixture of both fact and faction looking at what life is like on 21st Century Planet Earth through the eyes of a being from another planet.

Mr Chatterton explained: “Imagine you are a Highly Evolved Being from another planet who comes to Planet Earth to observe the human beings who live there.

“Through a series of vignettes or ‘event-captures’ this Being sees how these humans live and react with each other, and the planet they live on.  This Being observes all the various things that humans do from going to work, using money, making war and travelling around;  through to how they spend their leisure time, the different  feelings they have and how they have exploited the planet. This is his report.

Mr Chatterton is an author, teacher, philosopher and broadcaster. He is the author of fifteen books and is a graduate of Oxford University with a degree in Theology.
