A COMMUNITY initiative aimed at reviving Westcliff met to set out plans.
An “Impact Day” has been announced as part of the “We Love Westcliff” campaign, supported by David Burton-Sampson, MP of Southend West and Leigh. The “Impact Day” will take place on June 18th.
Council teams will be present throughout the day, speaking with residents and identifying key issues and “hot spots” across the area.
Police officers will also attend to offer advice and respond to concerns raised by residents.
Mr. Burton-Sampson said: “I am really pleased with how the “We love Westcliff” campaign is taking off.
“This will be a great start to reviving the area, building on the many assets Westcliff already has and I am working hard in Parliament to secure funds for the future.
“I am sure the day will be a great success and the start of something big.”
Mr. Burton-Sampson added: “On Friday we held our 4th We Love Westcliff meeting. Working together with the community, police and council, really great progress is being made!
“Funds are being sourced to attempt to gate all alleyways to drive down fly tipping and antisocial behaviour.
“An Impact Day is being arranged for 18th June to drive high activity action and education in the area with all stakeholders.”
