Byfords Pie Award

A LEIGH butchers has been crowned the winner of a prestigious pie award.

Byford’s Food Hall, at 114-118 Eastwood Old Road, has been crafting culinary excellence for over 55 years, a fact recognised at the National Pie Awards in Melton Mowbray.

Here, the family food firm scooped top prize for their Beef, Ale, and Stilton Pie.

A spokesperson said: “Exciting news!

“We’re thrilled to announce that our Beef, Ale, and Stilton Pie won the prestigious Winner reserve prize at the National Pie Awards in Melton Mowbray.

“Out of 1000 overall entries, 91 in our class, our pie stood out, thanks to our incredible team at Byford’s.

“A huge thank you to the judges for recognising our delicious creation!”
