SOUTHEND City Council are looking to engage landlord’s views on a new Private Sector Leasing Scheme.

The scheme would see the council lease properties for a set period to house people who are in housing need.

The council would be responsible for the property during the period of the lease, and landlord would get a guaranteed rent for the period.
