A NEW cancer hair loss support scheme is being trialled at Southend Hospital.
The scheme aims to give emotional and practical support to patients receiving cancer treatment across mid and south Essex.
Thanks to your donations, Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity have launched the new cancer hair loss support scheme giving patients full access to workshops on hair and wig care; one-to-one support for children and adults; hair and wig cuts; eyebrow and lash support; advice on colour and products; specialist staff training and patient care packs.
A spokesperson said: “The pilot scheme looks to address the emotional and practical impact of hair loss on patients undergoing cancer treatment from diagnosis through to post chemotherapy hair growth.
“Your support is making a real difference.”
