ROCHFORD District residents are being invited to explore new care sector careers at an upcoming Care Fair.
Residents interested in starting a new career, developing their skills or finding out more about opportunities in the care sector are being invited to attend the Rochford District Care Fair this autumn.
The free event, organised by Rayleigh JobCentre Plus in partnership with Rochford District Council, will take place on Wednesday 14 October from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at The Mill Arts & Events Centre, Rayleigh.
The Rochford District Care Fair will bring together a range of employers, training providers and support organisations from across the health and social care sector. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with care providers, learn about current job vacancies and explore training and qualifications that can help them begin or progress a career in care.
Exhibitors are expected to include South Essex College, local care homes and domiciliary care providers, alongside Rayleigh Jobcentre Plus and other organisations supporting workforce development within the sector.
Coun Adi Malviya, Leader of Rochford District Council, said: “The care sector plays a vital role in supporting our communities and offers a wide range of rewarding and fulfilling career opportunities.
“This Care Fair is a fantastic chance for local residents to meet employers, learn about available roles and discover the training and support that can help them enter the sector.
“We are pleased to be supporting Rayleigh JobCentre Plus in delivering this event and helping residents connect with organisations that are looking to recruit talented and compassionate people.
“I would encourage anyone interested in a career in care to come along and find out more.”
