A FUNDRAISING fashion show at Rochford Gold Club raised more than a thousand pounds for heart awareness.
The fashion show raised money for The Carli Lansley Foundation, whose motto is “keeping young hearts healthy.”
The foundation was started by Karl and his children Jess and Ethan, in memory of Carli Lansley, their beloved wife and mother, who died aged 36 in her sleep from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome.
The charity now hosts heart screening days across South Essex as well as CPR and defibrillator training sessions.
A spokesperson for the foundation said: “It was a really lovely evening.
“We met some really lovely people, and the whole evening was fantastic.
“We are truly humbled to announce an astonishing £1,200 was raised overall.
“A huge ‘thank you’ to Jean Abbott, Claire Wilson and Lisa Whittingham, for organising the evening and supporting our charity.”
