Children’s Author’s Success

AN AWARD-WINNING Leigh author has just been signed up with publisher Tiny Tree Books, following the success of her first two children’s books.

Tiny Tree Books acquired the two titles from award-winning author Laura Diebelius, ‘I’m Going to Have a Sister’ and ‘I’m Going to Have a Brother’, with the first of the two recently won a gold medal at The Wishing Shelf Book Awards.

 The two picture books highlight the frustrations and fears of children eagerly anticipating the arrival of the newest member of the family.

 Told in charming rhymes and with adorable illustrations, ‘I’m Going to Have a Sister’ and ‘I’m Going to Have a Brother’ sensitively explore the emotions of an older sibling adjusting to the presence of a new baby — something Ms Diebelius had to do herself, having had two babies during the pandemic.

 These two heart-warming tales remind readers that love, patience, and a little bit of waiting can lead to the sweetest surprises.

 ‘I’m Going to Have a Sister’ and ‘I’m Going to Have a Brother’ are set to be published in a refreshed form by Tiny Tree in 2025.
