ROCHFORD District Council’s Chairman gratefully received a charitable donation to her chosen charity, when she and other councillors attended a service at Rehoboth Parish London in Rayleigh.
Coun Danielle Belton received over £600 towards her Chairman’s Charity Lady McAdden Trust.
She said: “This afternoon, along with Coun Deborah Mercer, Coun Cheryl Roe, and Pam and Marie from Marco’s Spanish Restaurant & Wine Bar, I had the pleasure of attending the Thanksgiving service at Rehoboth Parish London in Rayleigh.
“As always, we were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed lots of singing and dancing throughout the day!
“The lovely members of this church also donated over £600 to my Chairman’s Charity, Lady McAdden Breast Cancer, following a talk we gave them as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“To finish off we had a feast of traditional African chicken, rice and fried plantain.
“Thank you again for your hospitality and support of Rayleigh Town Council, Rayleigh Town Museum and the wider community.”
