Come Forward Victim

OFFICERS are appealing for the victim of an assault in Leigh to come forward.
A Police statement said: “We responded to reports of a disturbance in Oakleigh Park Drive at around 9.45pm on Friday 17 July.
“Witnesses told officers that a group of suspects chased one man, who was later seen with an injury to his head.
“Despite extensive enquiries yesterday evening and throughout the day, the victim has not been located.”
Detective Inspector Marcus Dodd said: “I’d appeal to the man who was injured to come forward.
“Or did a friend or family member return home injured on Friday night or Saturday morning? Please do get in touch if you have any details which could help our investigation.”
