The Knit-working event by Trust Links Rochford saw an outpouring of donations – so numerous they couldn’t be counted – all destined for hospitals, homeless shelters, and other local charities.

Staff served up fresh homemade soup and cakes to boost morale during the session.

A spokesman for Trust Links Charity said: “The donations were truly overwhelming – too many to count.

“Our wonderful staff also whipped up delicious homemade soup and cakes fresh that morning to keep everyone fuelled and happy.

“All the generous donations will be distributed to various places, including hospitals, homeless shelters, and other community charities.

“Thank you to everyone who participated and supported us!

Trust Links is an independent charity for mental health, wellbeing and the environment in south Essex.

They offer therapeutic gardening, recovery classes, social activities, employability support, training, environmental workshops and more.
