Southend United Football Club will welcome staff from Barclays, Ayers & Cruiks, BTMK, Barrons, Paul Robinson Solicitors, MWS, Rickard Luckin, Affinity Group, Azets, Howard and Stapleton, and Revive Digital on May 11 to raise funds to support local children and adults living with incurable conditions.

Organisers are inviting the public to come along, cheer on the players and get involved in activities including an auction, raffle and a fun penalty shoot-out challenge for children and adults.

Ex-Blues players will also be in attendance to throw their support behind the players on the night.

The charity must raise more than £85,000 every week to be there when a family is told there is no cure for their loved one’s illness.

Lydia Plews, Business Development Manager at Havens Hospices said: “We can’t thank Barclays enough for hosting and all the businesses who take part in this incredible fun annual fundraiser.

“To date businesses have raised over £150,000, which helps Havens Hospices continue providing specialist hospice care to families who rely on our services during the most difficult time.”

Entry is via a donation on the gate at Roots Hall. Gates open at 5.30pm with Kick-Off at 6pm.
