SOUTHEND City Council is inviting residents and visitors to experience internationally acclaimed classical guitarist Craig Ogden as part of the Southend Concert Series.

Following his celebrated performances worldwide, Craig Ogden returns to Southend on Friday 25 April, for an extraordinary evening of music. The event will feature a stunning programme including works by Bach, Vivaldi, Scarlatti, Villa-Lobos, and Rodrigo.

Recognised as one of the most successful classical guitarists of his generation, Craig has performed with leading orchestras across Europe, Russia, Hong Kong, and Australia, earning widespread acclaim. With a career that includes collaborations with major orchestras and five chart-topping albums for Classic FM, Craig’s performances continue to captivate audiences worldwide.

Coun Matt Dent, cabinet member for culture, tourism, and business, said: “We are delighted to welcome Craig Ogden back to Southend as part of the Council Concert Series.

“His talent and artistry are world-renowned, and this is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy a truly exceptional classical guitar performance.

The concert takes place in the Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend on Sea, starting at 8pm. Tickets cost £12 and can be purchased online at www.southend.gov.uk/concerts or by phone on 01702 215011, Monday to Friday, during normal office hours.

Any remaining tickets will be on sale at the concert.
