A WOMAN was rushed to hospital following a crash in a Leigh, which saw emergency services flood a road.
Ambulance crews, firefighters and police responded to a crash in Oakwood Avenue, off the A127, at around 11am on October 14th.
This followed reports of a crash with two vehicles.
According to witnesses, a woman had to be cut from her car and a lamp post that was damaged has also had to be partially removed.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “Two ambulances and a paramedic car were sent to Oakwood Avenue, Leigh, this morning following reports of a road traffic collision.
“Two patients were assessed at the scene and one woman was transported to Southend University Hospital.”
