A MAN was charged in connection with a in incident in Westcliff.
Police were called to an address in Crowstone Road shortly after 7am on Saturday (16 December) to reports of a disturbance there.
It was reported that someone inside had been making threats and there were concerns for those in the property.
Officers worked to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible.
A man was arrested around 11.30am and a woman was left in the care of medical professionals.
Forty-two year-old Wayne Lambert, of Crowstone Road, Westcliff was charged with: Making threats to kill, threatening to destroy or damage property endangering life; Threatening a person with an offensive weapon, bladed article, or corrosive substance in a private place; Sending a letter, communication or article conveying a threat.
He was due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court Monday December 18.
