A CAMPERVAN was set alight deliberately at Leigh’s skate park, Essex Fire and Rescue Service have ruled.
Fire fighters were called to the location, at the road side leading to Two Tree Island, near Leigh station in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday, after reports of a van being on fire.
One crew took just under an hour to extinguish the fire.
A spokesperson for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a van on fire close to Leigh train station on Monday 5 May at 1.35am.
“A crew from Leigh attended and extinguished the fire by 2.19am.
“The cause has been recorded as deliberate.”
