A WELL-LOVED dance ensemble has found its new headquarters within the walls of a former church in Westcliff.

Ashley Banjo and his talented Diversity team have opened their new dance studio located on Kings Road, marking their acquisition of the Westcliff United Reformed Church Hall site the previous year.

The primary hall boasts lofty ceilings adorned with a distinctive blue light feature, a design personally crafted by Ashley.

Adjacent to the dance area, there are spaces with a pool table and comfortable sofas, creating a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere.

The studio’s flooring is constructed from poured concrete, a practical choice enhanced by the installation of underfloor heating, which Mr Banjo explained was selected for its cost-effectiveness and efficient warmth distribution throughout the space.

On their arrival at the studio, Mr Banjo and his family were greeted by Southend MP Anna Firth.

In a post on social media, Ms Firth said: “Very exciting to meet Ashley Banjo, his lovely mother and sister and see their new Diversity studio.

“Being an old church, the space is absolutely awesome, and we are all delighted to have them.”
