PERFORMERS at a high school in Westcliff get the chance to flex their acting muscles as part of a new club.

Chase High School in Prittlewell Chase have launched the Elite Performing Arts Academy, putting students through a rigorous audition process to secure one of the 50 places in drama and music.

Alison Quarrell head of performing arts said: “following the success of our Elite Sports Academy program, we decided students should be given the opportunity to audition for the Elite Performing Arts Academy Music And Drama tutor groups.

“All students come to school for 8am and follow a program specifically tailored to allow performing arts students to shine.”
