AN EASTWOOD group is holding its summer exhibition this June.
The Eastwood Brush & Palette Art and Crafts group is delighted to announce its latest showcase, on Saturday, June 22.
This eagerly-anticipated event will take place at the Eastwood War Memorial Hall, and displays both ambitious artistic creations, and a moment to enjoy the continued operation of the community club.
The group consists of retired local artists and crafters who meet weekly at the Eastwood War Memorial Hall.
For many members, these gatherings are essential, providing a key opportunity for social interaction and community engagement.
All residents and visitors are invited to come along between 10 am to 5 pm on the Saturday of the summer solstice to meet the artists, and enjoy their varied creations in a number of media.
The free entry event also offers original art and craft items for sale on the day, as well as refreshments, and a tombola.
The group are also keen to encourage new members to the group.
Shelley Miller, a member, said: “We are artists and crafters who love to create.
“We host two exhibitions per year to showcase and sell our creations.
“We meet up on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm till 9.30pm. All ages and abilities are warmly welcomed.
“There is a £1 entry fee and free refreshments are available part way through the evening.
“Needlecrafters are also welcome to join the group.”
