AN athletics team is celebrating after four of the schools’ teams made it to Stoke to compete in national athletics finals.
This marks the second time that all four teams from Eastwood Academy have made it to the competitive finals.
The teams finished up in the top seven at the end of the competition, out of a possible 12 schools competing, with Eastwood’s inter-girls team finishing in third place.
A spokesperson for Eastwood Academy said: “We are incredibly proud to have sent four teams of athletics to the track and field cup.
“At the end of a day of very tough competition, all four teams from Eastwood Academy were placed in the top seven.
“This is an awesome achievement for the non-selective school.”
