FAMILIES are being invited to enjoy a day of community celebrations at a mental health charity event.
Trust Links Charity will host its May Fayre at the Growing Together Garden in Westcliff on Saturday May 9th, from 11 am to 2 pm.
A spokesperson said: “The free, family friendly event will bring a burst of colour and community spirit to Westcliff, celebrating the arrival of spring with a wide range of activities for all ages.”
During the event, visitors can enjoy traditional maypole dancing, live music from Power of Sound Choir and the Trust Links Band and a lively performance by the Cockleshell Clog Morris Dancers.
Children can enjoy activities including a scavenger hunt
Also available will be food and drink stalls, and a variety of local business and community stalls.
Traditionally, May Fayres mark the start of summer, and involve maypole dancing: activities that celebrate spring, nature and abundance.
A spokesperson added: “The May Fayre aims to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where people can connect, unwind and enjoy time together, while also learning more about the work Trust Links does to support mental health and wellbeing in the local area.”
Visit the event at: Trust Links Westcliff, 47 Fairfax Drive, SS0 9AG.
