Festive Cheer

PUPILS from a Hockley school brought festive cheer to visitors at a day centre.

25 pupils from Plumberow Primary Academy, in Hamilton Gardens, sang a series of Christmas carols for the Hockley and Hawkwell Day Centre in Southend Road.

The children also offered instruments for their audience to join in with.

The centre’s walls were brightened with the additional of the children’s own Christmas artwork, which they donated for the day centre attendees to enjoy.

Tom Bottrill, headteacher at Plumberow Primary School, said: “Our pupils loved visiting the Hockley and Hawkwell Day Centre and spending some time with the residents there, as well as joining in some festive songs together.”
