EXPERIENCING the loss of a loved one can be extremely distressing, which is why a qualified Leigh counsellor and psychotherapist Katy Acton has been running a free drop-in group to help people through the emotional impact of grief.
Ms Acton, who founded the group, said: “Are you struggling with the loss of a loved one or pet? Maybe it was recent, maybe it was a long time ago.
“Do you feel like you could benefit from a safe space to explore the impact of this bereavement on your life?
“If so, I would like to invite you to this bereavement support group.
“Come together with others who are going through their own bereavement, in a safe space, to offer each other support.”
The session take place once a month at Living Room, 191 Leigh Road, SS9 1JE.
Living Room is a new community space located next to The Phabulous Café, and is owned by Leigh Road Baptist Church (LRBC) and gifted as space to share with the local community.
