A FREE fish and chip lunch is being organised by Age Concern Southend, to be held in Leigh.

The Southed charity, which works to support older people, is running the event in collaboration with Leigh and Southend Volunteers, and is inviting local OAPs to enjoy a warm, welcoming afternoon with free food and community support.

The “Meet, Heat & Eat” event offers guests a complimentary fish and chip lunch, followed by delicious Rossi ice cream for dessert.

Citizens Advice will also be present to provide free advice on a range of issues, making this event an opportunity for anyone who could use guidance or support while enjoying a meal among friends.

The event will take place on Friday, 29th November, from 12:30 pm until 3 pm, at Iveagh Hall, located at 67 Leigh Road, SS9 1JW.
