A LEIGH charity is running a special retreat day for residents to reflect on treatment, share experiences and enjoy some restorative and relaxing activities.
Lady McAdden Trust, which offers services before during and after breast cancer, is running an event called ‘ A Time to Breathe Day’ at the Leigh Community Centre on Saturday, September 6th 2026.
The free event, bookable with £5 refundable deposit, features fun, accessible movement and creative sessions to help bring the energy, connection and fun alongside a counsellor-led group reflection session.
The day will be an opportunity to meet others who may have had a similar experience as well as offering a chance to process and reflect on what you’ve been through.
The day will also feature a sound bath to help and unwind.
Lunch, snacks and refreshments will be included.
A spokesperson says explains that the retreat is “a day to breathe, connect and simply be yourself.”
They add: “This event is fully funded by Bright Sparks, which enables us to offer this for free! Why not bring a friend, everyone is welcome!
“If breast cancer has touched your life through a family or friend, or perhaps you have had or are living with breast cancer, join us for a welcoming day of laughter, creativity, relaxation and meaningful connection with others who understand.”
The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
