A LEIGH-based musical charity held a 26 minute concert to raise funds for a musician diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Music Man Project, which makes music education accessible for people with disabilities, is an award winning and record-breaking charity.
The project recorded the concert at Leigh’s Salvation Army Hall to support HM Royal Marines flute and saxophone musician Sophie Ward, who has been diagnosed with MND at the age of 26.
The music group, which has been collaborating with the Marine’s band, decide to put the concert together to support Sophie.
Music Man Project founder Sir David Stanley BEM said: “It has been our absolute honour to collaborate, sharing some truly extraordinary experiences together and making wonderful memories with our new friends.
“When we learnt Sophie Ward, a talented and much-loved musician was diagnosed in January we desperately wanted to help in any way we could.
“So, all musicians from our headquarters in Southend recorded a 26 minute concert of music to help raise money.”
