LITTER Pickers of Rochford spent time clearing areas of the district.
Rochford District Litter Pickers combed Cherry Orchard Way, Jubilee Country Park, as well as the Main Road, Hawkwell, and the KFC car park.
Unusual finds included over 30 gas canisters, as well as fly tipping, a BBQ, a drum, trainers, graffiti accessories and cannabis paraphernalia.
A spokesperson said: “Another quality day with sunshine this morning spent litter picking. Lots of Fly Tipping reported especially gas canisters, at 30 plus.
“RDC are aware and will remove these safely. Other fly tipping included weed paraphernalia.
“Other unusual items found included trainers, barbecue, glassware, metal items, plastic drum, ketchup, graffiti boards, sponges and spray paints.
“A great job done by our Christmas Volunteers, (who helped all year round). After such a large haul we were very grateful to KFC for their hospitality, thank you.
“Everyone has done a fantastic job.”
