Holy Trinity Flower Festival

MARK Francois MP, showed his support for a flower festival, to celebrate thirty years of successful fundraising to help maintain a church in his constituency.
The Rayleigh & Wickford MP attended the recent Friends of Holy Trinity Church Flower Festival, held to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the group, which has successfully raised over £1 million to help upkeep the iconic, part-12th century church, at the top end of Rayleigh High Street.
Mr Francois, who also serves as President of the Friends, was given a tour of the church, which had been decorated with multiple displays of flowers, as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Speaking about his support for the event, Mr Francois said: “As President of the Friends, I would like to thank all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the church look really beautiful, to help mark the group’s forthcoming thirty-year anniversary, in October.
“Holy Trinity Rayleigh is a wonderful House of God, for the community to enjoy and it looked amazing during the festival, which I was proud to support.”
