The Access to Records team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust has been shortlisted for a Health Service Journal (HSJ) Digital Award in the Improving Back-Office Efficiencies through Digital category.

Rebecca Pascoe, Service Manager Health Records and Access to Records, said: “Previously patients had to fill in paperwork to make their requests, but going digital has transformed this process and now information can be shared much quicker and there are no postage costs involved.”

The eConsult team have also been shortlisted in the Supporting Elective Recovery category for their work on virtual outpatient appointments.

The HSJ Digital Awards celebrates digital products, projects and services, which transform the delivery of care, improve efficiency and patient outcomes.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Manchester at the end of June.
