Direct form a hit run in the West End. the new stage production reunites audiences with the iconic characters from Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, continuing the story of former Prime Minister Jim Hacker and his long-suffering civil servant Sir Humphrey Appleby.
Set in retirement at Oxford’s tranquil Hacker College, Jim Hacker is hoping for a quieter life. Instead, he finds himself facing a fresh crisis as college plans are derailed by bureaucracy, tradition and committee politics. With Sir Humphrey never far away, the pair once again become embroiled in a battle of wits and political manoeuvring.
The production stars Simon Russell Beale as Jim Hacker and Clive Francis as Sir Humphrey Appleby.
Described by critics as witty, nostalgic and sharply relevant, the show promises plenty of the double-speak, political intrigue and clever humour that made the original television series a national favourite.
I’m Sorry, Prime Minister will run the Palace theatre from July 21 to July 25, 2026.
