Leigh On Sea News. Imitation Firearm Arrests – ARMED police responded to threats involving an imitation firearm in Leigh.
Essex Police were called to Oakleigh Park Drive, in Leigh, shortly after 5pm on Saturday, October 14, following reports of a firearm being seen.
Armed response officers were in attendance and pursued a suspect vehicle, after which
three people were arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to Oakleigh Park Drive in Leigh shortly after 5pm on Saturday, 14 October following reports of a firearm being seen.
“A 16-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.”
