COMEDY legend John Bishop is coming to the Cliffs Pavilion next year as a stop-off on his UK stand-up tour.
The 56-year-old is touring the country with his Back at It tour and will be at the Cliffs Pavilion, in Station Road, on May 2.
It comes after he spent the last two years TV presenting, stage acting, podcast hosting, “dog walking and decorating the spare room”.
Just three years after debuting in comedy in 2000, Mr Bishop found himself performing for sold-out crowds in arenas nationwide and breaking records with the fastest-selling stand-up DVD in UK history.
Since then, he has enjoyed immense success with various comedy, entertainment, and documentary shows, such as BBC’s “John Bishop’s Australia” and “John Bishop’s Britain.” Mr Bishop also co-hosts the podcast “Three Little Words” with writer, actor, and director Tony Pitts, engaging in insightful conversations with captivating individuals about their lives, aspirations, challenges, and beliefs.
In his most recent endeavour, Mr Bishop took to the stage for a four-month tour of “Mother Goose” alongside Ian McKellen, covering the UK & Ireland and receiving acclaim, particularly during a successful run in London’s West End.
Mr Bishop said: “I’m delighted to be hitting the road again with my new show, Back at It.
“I did a few gigs in New York and some over in Ireland, and I’ve got the juices flowing again. I’m looking forward to seeing you all out there on the road.”
Tickets for the show will be released on December 1 at 10am and will be availabil from the Cliffs Pavilion box office on 0343 310 0030 or by visiting: trafalgartickets.com/cliffs-pavilion-southend/en-GB.
