Join Havens Marathon

APPLICATIONS have opened for people to join “Team Havens” and run the next London Marathon to raise money for local hospice care.

Havens Hospices provides specialist care and support for people of all ages and their families who are living with incurable conditions. The charity has a number of spots open for people who want to take on the 26.2-mile challenge to help their fundraising.

Runners must pledge to raise £1900.

A spokesperson for Havens said: “Join Team Havens and run the iconic London Marathon for Havens Hospices!

“Experience the thrill of this iconic race while making a real difference to the lives of those in need.

“Your support will help us continue ‘Making every day count’ for the families that we care for.

Havens Hospices has limited charity places available, and we ask runners to pledge to raise £1900. We’ll support you every step of the way from sign up to the start line.

“We have a great support package including group training runs, sports therapy sessions, a coach up the start line plus a BBQ to celebrate your success afterwards.

“Applications are open until 2nd August.”
