A LEIGH primary school choir joined forces with The Music Man group for a special performance.

The Music Man Project, founded by David Stanley, is a Leigh-based education charity that provides musical education for people with learning disabilities.

The group joined pupils from West Leigh Junior School for a concert event hosted by the Leigh Salvation Army.

A spokesperson from The Salvation Army said: “The Music Man Project along with West Leigh Junior School’s boy choir, which includes two of our Junior Soldiers, had a joint concert in our hall.

“Over a hundred parents, carers and friends enjoyed listening to the music, which both groups had worked hard to get ready for the evening.

“All money raised through this concert will be split between The Music Man Project and the work of The Salvation Army in the local community.

“A great community event.”

Mr Stanley added: “This was such a lovely concert.
