Leigh On Sea News: Knifepoint Motorcycle Theft – A TEENAGER was threatened at knife point in Rayleigh, and had his motorcycle stolen.
The boy, who has been left shaken by the incident, was targeted by the knifeman in Grove Road, Rayleigh, and forced to hand over his black and white green pit bike.
The incident has sparked a police appeal.
The mother, who was asked to remain anonymous, said: “he was walking his off-road bike from his mates to come home via Grove Wood Park.
“Sitting on a bench, and his mate was sitting on his bike, and randomly A man, approximately 19, came up to them and said ‘get off the f***ing bike’ and held a knife to him.
“It happened at 4.25 pm on Wednesday, October 25, and he was very shaken and called me in distress before I went to pick him up straight after.”
Essex Police have launched an appeal, and are asking anyone with information to come forward as a matter of urgency.
A spokesman said: “We are appealing for any information, doorbell or dashcam footage, that will support our investigation into a robbery in Rayleigh.
“Officers were called to the scene in Grove Road on Wednesday, October 25 following reports a man was robbed by a suspect with a knife.”
